New Overlay: World Cup 2026 Scorebug
A new soccer overlay style inspired by the 2026 FIFA World Cup broadcast. Flat, modern, and built for the moment.
The World Cup is on, and a lot of you are streaming it — watch parties, prediction streams, friendly FIFA and EA SPORTS FC tournaments, grassroots clubs following along. We've had more soccer scoreboards created in the past week than any other period in ScoreLayer's history.
So we built one more overlay to match the moment.
World Cup 2026
The new World Cup 2026 style is a clean, flat scorebug modelled after the broadcast graphics running on screens right now. White clock on the left, dark team panels with flag/logo and a jersey-colour dot, cyan score boxes, trophy badge in the centre.
A few things worth knowing about how it works:
The clock sits underneath. Rather than the clock and team panel sitting side by side, the team block overlaps the clock slightly — giving it a layered look without any drop shadows or fake 3D. It's a flat design, no bevels.
Jersey colour dots. Each team has a small coloured circle next to their three-letter code. You set the colour in your team setup — it's meant to reflect the kit colour so viewers can immediately map the scorebug to what they see on the pitch.
Red cards float above the scorebug. If a player gets sent off, a red card indicator appears above the team's panel. Up to three per side.
Stoppage time works automatically. Set your period length in the clock settings and the scorebug handles the rest. Once the clock passes the period end, the main clock freezes at 45:00 (or 90:00) and a secondary pill appears below showing elapsed stoppage time. The ref's announced added time — the + min. N — you enter manually and it appears in the same pill.
Who it's for
Anyone streaming soccer right now. World Cup watch parties where you want the scoreboard to feel like the broadcast. Club-level streams that want a step up from the classic lower-third. EA SPORTS FC or FIFA tournament nights where the vibe matters as much as the result.
